New Edition of DIN EN 10253-4:2025-10

In October 2025, DIN EN 10253-4:2008-06 and DIN EN 10253-4 Amendment 1:2009-11 were replaced by the edition DIN EN 10253-4:2025 (October 2025).
The new edition of the standard comprises 142 pages.
Changes compared to the previously valid standard are listed below. Important changes for us as a manufacturer are highlighted in bold, while the rest are also listed:

- Specification of the scope of application
- Adjustment of the structures in EN 10253-2 and EN 10253-4 and editorial adaptation to the design rules
- Correction of technical data to market-standard values and uniform dimensions within the EN 10253 series, as well as the introduction of additional wall thicknesses and diameters
- Introduction of the TC2 testing concept, analogous to the pipe standards
- Revision of certain options and new numbering
- Change of inspection lot sizes
- Update of references and content for ultrasonic testing
- Update of references and content for welding sections
- Revision of figures
- Update of terminology
- Editorial revision to align with the latest calculation rules
- Revision of mechanical properties
- Update of the table with dimensions for pipe bends (METRIC)
